This hatchery, founded by the Kiwanis Club of Smith River, Del Norte County, has been in operation since the 1970’s. Salmon Stamp has funded the production of 400,000-500,000 chinook salmon smolts at this facility since 1990. Stamp funding at Rowdy Creek averages around $30,000-50,000 annually.
